Malia figured out how to open cupboard recently...

Michael figured out he can push things and climb on them to get where he wants.

Hats

Jason and I have been saying "Nice hat." to the kids when we put something on their head. Just recently they have been holding things up to their heads trying to put them on like a hat. These bowls are from our hospital stay (almost one year ago) and make great hats. They usually stay in the bath tub, but today they were hats.

Malia has two teeth on the bottom (you can see one in this pic). She has four coming in on top, three have already broken through the gum line.

Michael has his two bottom teeth (and has since Aug) and his two top front teeth. The other two on top are coming in, and are just breaking through the gum line.

Both kids are standing. Michael is attempting steps, tonight he was able to take a few. I think he'll be walking by next week. Malia is just enjoying standing right now.

The kids wanted to show off their spooky outfits.

Jason found this guy hanging out in a bucket in our garage. We put him back into the yard.

The kids got artsy this week and played with some edible paints (yogurt with food coloring.)

Fun was had by all.

A friend of mine let us borrow her play gates. These will be great to use outside or around the Christmas tree this year. We played around in them and called them "baby jail".

These last couple warm days have been used very well at our house.

I just love these kids.

We met up with some of the family at a nearby farm for fall fun!

We got to play in the Hay Barn

See some pigs, goats, donkey, and cow up close.

And pick out some pumpkins for painting/carving.

We took the kids to an orchard and had them watch us pick some apples. I can't wait to do it again next year, when they can lend a hand (or four). We picked some Suncrisps and a couple Melrose apples.

We borrowed some Halloween Costumes from a friend and tried them out the other night. I have to say, Michael sure got into character once that costume was on.

Last days of Spring

Michael did not want to pose for the picture. He likes to move now that he's an expert a crawling and climbing stairs.

Michael got a black eye after falling into a kitchen cabinet. He cried for about 30 seconds and was back to exploring.

Cooler weather means we can wear baby legs (baby leggings). Michael's started falling down after a long day of crawling. He looks like a ballerina.

Malia didn't want to pose for this picture, her eyes are full of tears.

This picture shows one of the many spiders living around our house. I found 4 of this kind (yellow stripe and silver belly) and then there are a ton of brown and black ones of all sizes.

Any chance he gets, Michael heads straight into the laundry room. We try to keep the door closed, but when we forget, we hear this.....

Malia is less mischievous when Michael isn't around. He was napping during this video. Malia and I decided to watch Pretty Woman, but Malia was more interested in toys.

9 months old

The kids are 9 months old. Michael is climbing stairs, crawling, drinking from a sippy cup, experimenting with gravity, and has 2 teeth. Malia is crawling, drinking from a sippy cup, trying tons of new foods (sometimes forgets to chew before swallowing), clapping, and dancing.

 The weather finally cooled off so we busted out the pants and jackets and headed outside to play.

Michael has 2 teeth!

It's super hard to get a picture of a baby's teeth. So I tried to get them on video but it's hard to see. You'll just have to trust me - they are there. Bottom two front teeth.

During our vacation Malia decided to get serious about crawling. She started doing it when people weren't looking, but then she got brave enough to show it off.
