Balloons and Talking

Activities and Sensory Play

I find almost all of my kid activities online.
Water beads can be used in flower vases, but they are also fun for kids to play with...

We caught a city worker changing the street lamp lights one morning.

I put some hook and loop material on the ends of craft sticks for the kids to figure out.

We have also practiced threading pony beads.

All of these activities are very inexpensive and provide lots of entertainment.

Lots of fun in a day!

It's hard to get a picture of Malia smiling, but Jason did it!

It's super easy to get a picture of Michael smiling.

The kids enjoyed playing with basil stems.

And they love their California Raisins action figures.

And don't worry, there was plenty of dancing!

Happy 4th of July

We took the kids to hear a concert of patriotic music for the 4th of July. The loved dancing to the music and exploring the outdoors. They didn't like the heat. It was 95 degrees at 8pm!
We brought lots to drink and eat and a spray bottle to cool us down. We are so happy to have air conditioning at home.

It's a....

It's a girl!

She is in the pike position, so I think she will be a diver. Funny how the twins didn't have any space and she does, but still balls herself up into a tiny area. Name TBD.

Things I Love

 Malia's pigtails

When the kids enjoy something for more than 5 minutes.

The times in between teething pain. Darn molars!
and the biggest one right now....
being able to work from home!
The kids hung out in the living room while I attended a webinar for my next project.
Don't worry. The audio was on mute.

Memorial Weekend

We started the weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Theus', but we forgot the camera. The kids had a cookout and played in the pool. They also ate fennel straight off the plant and enjoyed it.

We had an overnight camping trip to the farm.
The kids loved playing in the pool.

 We listened to some music.

Re-enacted our favorite funny video and took a nap.

Then it was time for sprinkler fun and feeding the chickens.

The next day had more water fun.

And we had a picnic outside.

Then we broke down the tent (Mom and Dad slept outside) and headed home.

We had a cookout with friends to wrap up the weekend.
Our water party ended early due to a short rain.

It was a lot of fun and very relaxing.

Fancyburg Park

Jenna took some pictures of our adventure today and I'm glad she did. This park was amazing. The kids could play safely without me hovering over them. The playground was built with kids ages 2-5 in mind and kids with disabilities. We are going to check out more playgrounds around town. I need to remember to take some pictures. We already visited one by us but no pictures.

Blowing Bubbles

Sorry for my congested nose. My allergies are so bad right now.

New Experiences

The kids have some new water toys.
A beach ball sprinkler and a splash pad.
 They enjoy both very much.

We tried the tents out again. They were a much bigger hit this time.

They even made up a game with the connector parts.

We have started to learn about potty seats.
We aren't doing too much yet, but in a couple months I hope to get serious about potty training.

Bubbles and Chalk

The kids have been having a blast indoors and out.
Each kid has a special look when asked how strong they are.

The kids have been practicing using spoons to feed themselves.
They still need practice.

Michael let himself in the dog cage.
He was quiet and I looked to see him here.

The kids love playing with bubbles and chalk.
Malia is wearing her super cute new dress from the twin sale.
