x-ray

I've updated this post to include a picture of Michael's cast let. This was before we left to have the cast removed. He was such a trooper. He didn't cry at all when it was being cut off. In fact, he got a big smile when his leg was freed from the cast. Then we had a nice lunch with Dad.

Here is Michael's x-ray from his injury a couple weeks ago. The two bones are suppose to be parallel, but they form a K instead. Two fractures in the thinner bone and one in the thicker bone.

Fall!

I got the idea to take pictures on the bridge last week. Last week the colors were much brighter and varied greatly then, but it still makes for great photos.

Here we are goofing around.

Football Season and Fall

Now that college football season has started, Malia is all about checking up on her fantasy team. JK

 What?

Malia's model pose.

Michael's model pose.

 Michael says, "We're number one."

The kids both wanted to play with our gadgets.

Cheesy smiles.

We love making silly faces.

The kids love all the baby stuff that we are pulling out of storage.

I let the kids play pretend driving.

When one does something, the other one is not far behind.

I reorganized the toy room. Pardon the mess.

For my birthday, we installed a new ceiling fan.

I also took a painting class from a local artist.

Jason created a standing desk, so we can access the laptop without being interrupted by little electronics junkies.

Good morning

So on the morning this video was taken, Michael was not a morning person and Malia was. Malia is normally very happy first thing in the morning and Michael is about 50/50.

Enjoying the last weeks of summer.

Jason makes the best breakfasts on the weekends. These biscuits made everyone happy.

The kids enjoy playing with the sandbox and watching the airplanes go by.
Michael listens for them, waves bye-bye, and then asks "Where'd it go?"

The local radio station came to our neighborhood and had a block party.
The kids enjoyed balloons, boneless chicken wings, fries, and popsicles.

So busy, but having fun

We went on a field trip with Jenna, Olive, Eli, and a mom from my mom's club to a freshwater fish farm. We had so much fun and will be back to take more pictures soon.

We also went to the Twins Festival in Twinsburg, OH. It was so much fun to see all the twins, but we won't be back for a couple of years. It seems like the kids will like it more when they are a little older.

My neighbor took this photo of the kids walking the neighbor's dog. I just love it!

Right now we are passing around this sore throat/cough cold, we are having lots of visitors to the house, and I'm babysitting the neighbor's 3 year old daughter here and there, so things are really busy. I need to get the camera out again, so I can catch those super cute moments that pop up everyday.

Also - I'm tired.

But we finally picked a name for the new baby girl: Caroline Quinn Duffy.
We will call her Carrie.

Balloons and Talking

Activities and Sensory Play

I find almost all of my kid activities online.
Water beads can be used in flower vases, but they are also fun for kids to play with...

We caught a city worker changing the street lamp lights one morning.

I put some hook and loop material on the ends of craft sticks for the kids to figure out.

We have also practiced threading pony beads.

All of these activities are very inexpensive and provide lots of entertainment.

Lots of fun in a day!

It's hard to get a picture of Malia smiling, but Jason did it!

It's super easy to get a picture of Michael smiling.

The kids enjoyed playing with basil stems.

And they love their California Raisins action figures.

And don't worry, there was plenty of dancing!

Happy 4th of July

We took the kids to hear a concert of patriotic music for the 4th of July. The loved dancing to the music and exploring the outdoors. They didn't like the heat. It was 95 degrees at 8pm!
We brought lots to drink and eat and a spray bottle to cool us down. We are so happy to have air conditioning at home.

It's a....

It's a girl!

She is in the pike position, so I think she will be a diver. Funny how the twins didn't have any space and she does, but still balls herself up into a tiny area. Name TBD.

Things I Love

 Malia's pigtails

When the kids enjoy something for more than 5 minutes.

The times in between teething pain. Darn molars!
and the biggest one right now....
being able to work from home!
The kids hung out in the living room while I attended a webinar for my next project.
Don't worry. The audio was on mute.
